Fatigue and Work

The usual understanding is that fatigue is caused by overwork. So the remedy for fatigue is rest or abstinence from doing work. However, if we look deep into the subject , we will find that overwork is hardly the reason for work related fatigue. In most cases fatigue is caused by lack of interest in work that we are otherwise supposed to do. In many cases too little work can also lead to fatigue and this has been the reason for workplace fatigue in the recent years. As AI takes up more and more human work employees need to find a way to deal with this fatigue. If someone is really interested in his or her work then even after spending long working hours ,the sense of fatigue may not arrive at all. The idea is to take up a work that interests you. Work done in joy and enthusiasm is equivalent to dynamic rest.A work done without any interest as a mere duty or task will naturally tire us soon. The remedy therefore is to keep the interest alive.

Interest in a specific work does not depend on the work but on the attitude of the worker. Any work can be made interesting to a high degree if you know how to make that transformation in attitude. You have the powers to turn an uninteresting and dull work into something which is as attractive as romance. This transformation in attitude is a reflection of your self consciousness that you bring to your work. When a work comes to us , we should not neglect or tolerate it but welcome it and try to finish it with utmost perfection. Even if that work is something that others consider to be of inferior value. We need to keep reminding ourselves that Work as such does not have any value attached to it but our consciousness which approach that work is a valuable resource of ours. The only way we can utilise that valuable resource of ours is by imposing value to the work that is in front of us. This work then becomes an instrument of progress for our self consciousness. The goodwill, attention , concentration and self control which are involved in doing the work perfectly are the elements that nurture this growth. When you execute a work  to which you are not emotionally attached and inspite of that you deliver to perfection , then you are creating conditions for your self consciousness to grow.

When we have no choice we must accept what comes to us naturally and do it with utmost perfection. It does not mean that you should not look for work that better expresses your inherent talent , capacity and skills. It only means that when you have no choice you should not throw off the work that is in your hands for something that is still not there. We can not stop working perfectly just because the work is not pleasant or less pleasant. The more violently you try to shake off a thing , the more it will stick to you.Instead , let it drop off itself quietly , automatically and definitively. That is the only way to get rid off an unnecessary thing.Wait , till the time is ripe and it will fall off itself, without you having to make any effort.

Believe in your inspiration. Live it every moment of your life.Be faithful to it. Never let anything else shake your faith in yourself and your destiny. Let your aspiration be your guiding star. Prepare yourself for that moment but utilise this opportunity that is presented to you to grow yourself. As your consciousness grow clearer and steadier in you , things that are not consonant with it will drop off quietly like the autumn leaves. Your work will change , your circumstances will change in accordance with the need and demand of your self consciousness. Wait for that moment. Remember that the work you are doing now might not be your final aspiration but an important step in your journey towards self transformation . It is presented to you so that you can grow and meet the opportunities of future with steadfast resolution and love for your long awaited work.

Each piece of work , however insignificant , is an opportunity for self transformation.

and he alone is great who turns the voice of the wind into a song made sweeter by his own loving"

The middle class trap

I have heard this many times that middle class life is bliss. You are not rich enough to be insecure with your wealth, not poor enough to be incapable of meeting your survival needs. It is the middle class that is the fuel of the economy. We, the middle class people, should aspire to educate ourselves , have ambitions to be rich and lead a moral disciplined life. We should be loyal to our friends , families and our jobs. We should be religious and honest and punctual and be sensitive to the needs of the society.  However, when I think carefully , it seems that the existence of middle class itself is an illusion. Someone who is a middle class in USA  is a poor class person in Africa. Even within the middle class , there are numerous sub classes with complex interactions between them. In India a Brahmin and a Sudra can both be economically middle class but in terms of social hierarchy , one of them enjoys higher power and prestige than the other. The use of the term middle class...

The twenty laws of The Mother

  1) The words that symbolizes The Universal power like God, Allah, Krishna , Kali , Universe , Energy , Shakti and many others are mere synonyms. To these words , I may add another one , " The Universal Mother" , the ONE , who expresses herself through NATURE.  2) The Universe is the play of existence and non existence and the mutual interactions between them. If Shakti is existence , Shiva is non-existence. They are inseparable and essentially two different but complementary perspectives of the same entity.  3) Reality is made of pairs of opposites . We can not think of Life separated from Death  or of Good without thinking of evil. These are interdependent of each other and cannot exist in isolation. 4) Matter is Energy that is condensed in finite time and space. Matter is one of many manifestations of energy. The creative and destructive energy of the Universe is manifestation of consciousness. This is the One source of all Truth and Bliss. We can call it Love....

The Introduction to the Bhagavad Gita by Aldous Huxley

This interpretation of perennial philosophy (Sanatana-dharma) by Aldous Huxley is one of my favorite reads from the subject of Philosophy. When I first read it , I realized that it does not take understanding of Quantum Physics and Neurosciences to know the reality. Consciousness , herself has the ability to realize herself through an intuitive knowledge.  The Perennial Philosophy, as realized by the subjective experiences of many mystics , in different religious traditions , offers a universal metaphysical framework that transcends individual world views. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of all life and things in the Universe and promotes a path of self-realization and divine unity, offering a profound alternative to the materialistic and action-oriented philosophies that dominate modern thought.  Here it is : "The Introduction to the Bhagavad Gita by Aldous Huxley (The Introduction is in the Translation of Bhagavad-Gita by Swami Prabhavananda and Christopher Isherwood.) ...
